Illustrations of Walter Scotts Lay of the Minstrel Consisting of Twelve Views on the Rivers, Bothwick Ettrick, Yarrow, Tivot, and Tweed, with Anecdotes and Descriptions. John C Schetky - J Heath RA. London 1810 Longman. 14 x 23cm. 68pp. Contemp 1/2 leather with marbled covered boards. Both hinges split but boards attached by cords loss to top and bottom of spine approx 15mm. Corners rubbed with boards showing. Most of original label present. Internally with marbled endpapers and all blanks present. Pages are clean although the plates have some foxing around edges (as to be expected) However this does not in any way detract from these gloriously spacious and elegant plates which are all present. A very good copy of a lovely work.
