DUSTJACKET CONDITION:

 

 A BRAND NEW from publisher copy, the dustjacket is also in MINT CONDITION
DESCRIPTION: This is a new from publisher book and as such, is in mint condition.

Contained in hardback/dustjacket format are 188 printed pages of mainly text along with 160photographs in black and white and miscellaneous illustrations within the text. To counter the new threat of the balloon, the first gun specifically designed to combat an aerial target was manufactured in Germany in 1870. During World War I anti-aircraft artillery developed at a great pace whilst, towards the end of the Second World War, such weapons were to prove exceptionally useful against German flying bombs. The high cost of guided missiles has ensured the continued employment of light AA guns, nowadays with computer-controlled electro-optical sighting.
