Antique Tibetan Silver Snuff Bottle

DESCRIPTION:
This exquisite snuff bottle from Tibet dates back to the early 20th century and is covered by intricate filigree work, which is entirely done by hand. The snuff bottle is hand made using high-grade silver and is adorned with Tibetan Spider-web Turquoise stones and red Corals. The lid of the snuff bottle is garnished with Tibetan Turquoise & Corals crowned with a red Coral. The snuff bottle features the Dorje symbol on both sides around the large Turquoise stones. Dorje in Tibetan means 'indestructible.' The Dorje is the Tibetan Buddhist equivalent of the double terminated Hindu ritual tool known as the Vajre, or thunderbolt. The fine filigree work and intricate details visible on every corner of this snuff bottle are extraordinary. This snuff bottle is a rare, museum quality antique from the Himalayas and is made of high-grade silver. The snuff bottle measures 9 ¼” high x 5 ¼” wide x 3 ¾” deep and weighs 686 grams.
