You are bidding on a fine example of a pottery beer / stout bottle. This bottle is from the turn of the century and is in excellent condition. Comes from the time when the pubs bought their beer / stout etc by the barrel and bottled it themselves. This is a lovely item with the potters stamp " GOVANCROFT 5 GLASGOW". The bottle is ink written with the words:
Bottled by
ANDREW A WATT & Co Ltd
ESTB 1762
LONDONDERRY.
On the neck also in ink is the letter W with 35 underneath.
This is a beautiful item and would grace any collection
