STUDY OF A BEAUTIFUL YOUNG NUDE SIGNED - HENRI MATISSE

Displayed here is a stunning Charcoal study of a reclining nude female blowing on some pipes, signed Matisse bottom right. The drawing is very expressive and confident and shows the beauty of the female form with fluid lines, typical of the manner of Henri Matisse, an excellent composition. The drawing is on a thick cartridge type  paper which is showing signs of age yellowing in places with some foxing, and has some dirt and handling marks, but these do not detract from the image at all. Some handling marks.

It measures  28.5cm x 37.5cm and is unframed

The drawing is without provenance and is sold in the 'manner of' or 'after' Matisse.

This drawing would look stunning in a frame and enhance any interior or collection.
