A set of Allan Starks ,fully combed and  beaded with immitation ivory mounts in blackwood  new elk hide bag  bag , chords and cover included.Superb set of pipes. Allan G Stark (1947-1960) was an Edinburgh pipe maker originally working with J R Glen then later for himself. he supplied pipes to local colliery bands , also to the Ghurkas, Sudan and America.. He was a pipe major in the Royal Scots and had a distinguished military career.
