A reserve price is the minimum price the seller will accept. This price is hidden from bidders. To win, a bidder must have the highest bid and have met or exceeded the reserve price.
You would be buying a bike from someone who's put together complete bikes and kits for over two years, who is one of the longest established independent ebike sellers in the UK and has an excellent record for service and fairness in doing business with my customers. I also know what the drawbacks are in many electric bikes, weight, battery technology, quality issues etc. and with this bike I think I've eliminated pretty much all of them.
However, I've tried to keep Alien bikes and kits at a price which I believe is extremely good value without cutting corners.
So, if you're in the market now for an electric bike and you want it to be lightweight and powerful, you won't find much better than these - especially at this price.
Many thanks for looking!
FANTASTIC 36v 10Ah LITHIUM ION POWERED, FOLDING, E-BIKE
The brand new Alien Pulsar electric, folding, bicycle offers an easy ride due to it's 36v Lithium Ion system. Being very light and with the powerful 36V 10aH pack it's also really quick off the mark!
The bike has an excellent specification including Front and Rear Mudguards, 6 Speed Shimano Gears, Rear Rack and...I've even specified it with a bell. Of course, more importantly, it folds so it's ideal for the putting in the boot of the car, caravan or motorhome.
One major advantage the Pulsar has over many folding electric bikes is that it has the lowest step through height in the business making it really easy to ride!
Also, for those unfortunate enough to have problems with their back or knees or indeed those who (like me!) don't like pedalling at all, you will be glad to hear that the bike can be used on the throttle from a standstill. (Unfortunately, you might just have to pedal going up a hill though!!)
Please, just check the specification of all of the electric bikes on eBay or in fact any supplier in the UK and then check my bikes again. Many bikes will be 24v with a lowly 8.5aH battery or even "SLA" meaning heavy Sealed Lead Acid. Please compare like for like and look for 36v 10Ah Li-Ion systems.
I hope you will see that, on the specification alone, the Alien Pulsar is way out in front. And if the Pulsar doesn't do it for you, please check out the other Alien bikes and kits.

However, this can be easily adjusted from 15mph to 20mph but any attempt to do this would, of course, render the bike illegal for use on UK roads. Just to make this absolutely clear, this does not mean that the bike will then go at 20mph, it simply means that the controller will allow power to be used up to 20mph.

Li-ion batteries are lighter than other equivalent batteries and MUCH lighter than Lead Acid batteries. They do not suffer from memory effect and also have a low self-discharge rate of approximately 5% per month, compared with over 30% per month in nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries.
However, to preserve your lithium-ion battery it should be charged early and often so when you come back from a ride, simply plug the bike into the charger regardless of how much power you've used.
The Battery Management System, integrated into the charger and the controller, will take care of how much charge the battery needs. Please note that if you're going to leave your bike for a long time then charge up the battery every now and then to ensure that the battery charge doesn't fall to too low a level.
Please Note: I offer a twelve months guarantee on the controller, motor and battery subject to conditions. These are the main specialist components. All other items are standard bicycle parts and can easily be obtained from your local bike shop.
