Retro Alexander Henry/ Bijoux mod beads everyday Hipster/shoulder bag This lovely bag has been hand made by me using these stunning fabrics by Alexander Henry ( Coriander and fully contrasted and lined in Heather Bailey's Bijoux mod beads These prints are so pretty and perfect for the Spring and summer seasons A lovely pale green background with large retro blooms in pale dusty pink and white to produce a pretty and vibrant bag for those of you who like to be hands free when out shopping. This style goes across the chest and you can simply knot the strap for your own desired length or just wear it on your shoulder! It has a slightly padded feel and multiple layers of interlining with batting in between to give an excellent structure. There is a padded inner base to help keep its shape when full. It fastens with a long button tab and three stacked vintage buttons which have been carefully selected to compliment the colours and style. There are two pockets on the back, handy for your phone and keys-6 inches deep. There are also two internal roomy slot pockets for valuables and my own label is sewn in above them. The strap is padded for comfort and measures approx 31 inches from the centre to the top of the bag. The bag itself is a good size at 11 wide x 10 inches with a 2-1/2 inch gusset (A nice size for your purse and other items you need to carry on a trip to the shops!) It makes a gorgeous gift for any retro lover or why not treat yourself to this handy everyday essential! A little About me I am a qualified seamstress with thirty years experience in making bags as well as dressmaking after being taught to sew as a child by my Grandad who was a tailor in London. I try to make items which are different from anything seen in the shops and I do not use patterns as I like my creations to be my own from start to finish. All of my items are made in my smoke free workroom at home on the coast of Lincolnshire England I have in the past used a fusible lining which held a slight odour, especially after being stored for some time (not to be confused with smoke) I no longer use it and my items are triple checked before being wrapped and posted. This item has been newly made. I hope you like this bag as much as I enjoyed making it. I will post it out wrapped in tissue paper or cellophane with my own tag attached.
