The first in a series of exciting CD compilations for Alex Tronic Records has arrived! 

Alex Tronic Records - Volume 1

Some info on the Compilation CD:

 A.T.R Volume 1 features the following artists:

1.     Dr A & Naz - Strangest Thing (currently working on their  debut album for us.(Boogie down is a taster).

2.     Jock Forwell - El Bib Forwell specialises in dub dub roots vibes. He has worked with reggae legend Max Romeo and drum and bass pioneers General Levy.

3.     95BPMS - Heymann is the work of former Orange Grove members Murdo Macrury and Sam Hynde who toured with The Shamen amongst others. The track was a collaboration featuring Alex Tronic and vout.

4.     Hooverfish featuring Mc Solareye - The Rain is another cool collaboration of ex Dope group frontman and Hooverfish whose music is to be released shortly on London label Jalapeno Records.

5.     Joe Acheson Quartet - Celtic Harp This tune is a favourite as part of their live set. They have performed with Giles Paterson amongst others and have recently returned from gigs in Italy.

6.     vout -designs and builds synthesisers and is famous amongst programmers for his reactor synth modules. The track Deeper is a noodle with his extensive sonic arsenal and includes his own speech synthesis programmes and general sonic fannying around.

7.     sixpeopleaway - Providence is taken from their first ep. Ali is currently working on an album and has some festival dates including Spectrum in April and The Wickerman festival.

8.     Keser – Horus Lives is the lost track from his debut album  Esoteric Escape released on A.T.R. to much praise. Keser has recently toured in Scandinavia and is currently working on his follow up album.

9.     30k - Whitespace is the work of this Glasgow based musician  30k who occasionally moonlights on bass for Keser.

10.   Marvin Wilson - Velocity Experience is the work of this English based producer /engineer.

11.   Pockets of Resistance - Glow is the work of pockets of resistance whose debut album Climate Change made the best of the month section in dj magazine Jan 2007.

12.   Kosmos Kollective - Rien Va Plus is the work of a global internet collaboration who are based in Nova Scotia and Edinburgh alike, they swap files a la net. 

13.   ÅsA - Picture Perfect Dreams is the work of Alex Tronic and chanteuse Åsa Seljestad who are currently recording their second album after their debut On/Off was our first release on the label.
