Highly collectible and sought-after, hardcover first edition of The Magical Record of Beast 666, published in 1972, and edited & annotated by Kenneth Grant and John Symonds. The book is in red cloth covers, with gilt titling to the spine, and comes in a great looking dust jacket, which was designed by Steffi Grant. There are 326 pages, and the contents include: "Rex de Arte Regia", "The Magical Record of Beast" with copius annotations, and "Liber Al vel Legis (The Book of the Law". 

"Crowley's Diary is here published for the first time. Crowley called ita Magical Record because it contained accounts of his magical experiments, including his secret sexual magick and of his consumption of a variety of dangerous drugs." - quoted from jacket.

Great book, and a must have in a hardcover edition. The book and dust jacket, are both in VG- condition. There is some light soiling around the base of the spine, which also affects the page edges, at the base near the spine, and the top page edges. This staining is very light, and hardly noticeable, and is only evident when the book is closed (see 2nd last photo). It does not carry through to any of the pages, so all the pages are in near perfect condition, being clean, bright and crisp, and free of any markings or soiling. There is a blind stamp to the bottom of the front free end-paper, impressed by a previous owner (see last photo), but since it was impressed without ink, it is not all that noticeable, and should not bother too many people. There is also a very small circular red ink stamp on the back pastedown, of some sort of symbol. It is less than 1 cm in diameter, and again, should not worry most people. The dust jacket has some minor shelf wear to the edges, and a few small tears, but is now in a clear plastic protective cover, so it is quite presentable. A very nice copy, of this very rare book.
