I learned how to cut coins some 25 years ago but this internet wasn't around then so people used to just come banging on my door, but at least here I can keep a perfect record of my work.

Keep your eye on my site because I will be cutting coins from all over the world..so there will be something here for everybody sooner or later, however they will only appear as I make them..so happy bidding...!

People can't help but admire the work of the un-sung heroes...which is in fact the coin designers !!.. who make the most beautiful of designs but no one notices. With cut coin jewellery their work is brought to life for the beauty that it is. 

Old folk-law would have it that cut coins where first made by sailors who wanted something to bring home for their sweetharts after long voyages to many far away lands. They used to cut the coins of the countries they visited and bring them home as keepsakes for their loved ones.

I have found that many people want them for a gift to remember a special year, wedding for example...

( of course I will be selling different years..! )

LIMITED EDITION, I am only buying these Florins singularly to cut. They are getting harder to buy because of the rise in Silver.

This is an absolutely fantastic 50% Silver  King George V   "FLORIN"  that I have sculptured into the "CLASSIC"   

AA symbol of recovery.

I have Gold Plated the inner triangle with

18 ct Gold Making this a very special recovery pendant indeed. (Several layers in actual fact !!!!)

It is 28 mm in diameter x 2.mm thick  with the outer core of inscription and date left in tact.

This coin is .500 Fine silver. In other words 50% Pure Silver.

I have brush polished the outer rim and MIRROR polished the inner triangle then Selectevely GOLD PLATED IT... and as you can see..this is a fantastic combination..

Also I have burred down each apex of the triangle to make it stand out and appear  "Floating"...

This piece is supplied Fitted with a Complimentary Matching Gold Plated Bail.

Attached to a 24"  silver plated Curb Chain for a wonderful tastefull but subtle elegant piece of  contrasting Georgean recovery jewelry.

The pictures don't really do the coins justice, but then again i'm not David Bailey..They are much more attractive in real life.

There will of course be the marks of time on these pieces but that is what gives these lovely timepieces their originality..Besides,   the tiny marks of time give them their QUALITY and Authenticity.

As well as a nice Silver chain..These Silver Florins go rather nice with a Black leather Thong I have found.

Just ask at checkout and I will fit it with a 2mm Black Leather thong instead of the chain.

They end up being a classy yet unusual memoir of the past...

A little bit of wisdom. It is legal to cut coins not in circulation.And from other countries. Of course this law varies depending in which country you are in. In America for example you can cut coins so long as you are not fraudulently misrepresenting the coin.

In the UK it is an offence to de- face the Queens Head on a coin and it is still regarded as a very serious offence.
