Boards.

Decorated red boards are still quite clean, corners sharp but worn, small nicks and a little wear at spine ends. Front pastedown is intact with no loss, gilt to front and spine still ok. Photograph gives an accurate level of condition. 

Contents.

Gift inscription on ffep and on reverse of title page in pencil, frontis is loose, stain on page 55, a small number of faint thumb marks, otherwise surprisingly clean. No rips, tears, turned corners or damage, to rest of contents. Text block is a little shaken, but still tight.

All edges were gilt on publication, but this is now faded.
