Synopsis 

New York trapper Tom Dobb becomes an unwilling participant in the American Revolution after his son Ned is drafted into the Army by the villainous Sergeant Major Peasy. Tom attempts to find his son, and eventually becomes convinced that he must take a stand and fight for the freedom of the Colonies, alongside the aristocratic rebel Daisy McConnahay. As Tom undergoes his change of heart, the events of the war unfold in large-scale grandeur.

Trivia

Al Pacino and Donald Sutherland angered the crew one day because of a conversation. On one of the locations, there was one road that led in and out. One day, Pacino and Sutherland began talking about their work while blocking the entrance to the road. Crew members could not come or go and the conversation went on and on. They finally moved out of the way when a huge line of angry people developed behind them.

Frank Windsor is credited as Gen. Washington in the end titles but is not seen in the film.

PAL SYSTEM VHS:

Although VHS is the accepted standard throughout the world, there are three distictively different types:

VHS NTSC is used in the U.S.A., Canada and Japan.

VHS PAL is used in most European countries, notably UK.

VHS SECAM is used in France.

Unless stated otherwise, the VHS tapes that I sell are VHS PAL and will only work on either PAL or dual standard (capable of playing both PAL & NTSC) VCRs. Most of the bigger manufacturers (Sony, Panasonic etc) have been making dual standard VCRs for years.
