A very nice example of Akai's last best 7" reel-to-reel recorder, dating from the early 1980's. This recorder has six heads, quick reverse (less than 1/2 second), EE tape capability, real-time tape counter and bi-directional recording. I currently have two of these decks, but have just acquired a Pioneer RT-909 and I don't have room for three, so this one has to go. I changed the belts approx 12 months ago and have just re-aligned the heads (azimuth was adjusted using an oscilloscope) and adjusted the playback and record circuits to give a frequency respose from 30Hz-24Khz (my signal generator won't go above 24Khz). This recorder provides a level of performance that is at least on a par with the very best cassette decks (I have a Nakamichi 682ZX to compare it with). Here is more information on the deck:

You will get a photocopy of the instruction manual, the silver take-up spool in the picture and a good quality TDK LX tape.
