Brand new and unbuilt.

This kit includes parts for making a Churchill Crocodile Flamethrower Tank including the distincive fuel trailer.

Following a fairly disasterous debut at Dieppe in 1942, the Churchill tank became a much used, and much converted British tank in WWII. In use as specialised armour within Hobart's Funnies, the Churchill tank was adapted to carry out a number of roles from bridging tanks, to bobbins to facine carriers for filling craters and anti tank ditches. However possibly the most famous convesion was the Crocodile. Essentially little changed from the standard tank, the hull BESA was replaced with a flamethrower and pressurised pipes ran back to the fuel trailer towed behind. The Crocodiles struck fear into the Germans and rightly so. With the ability to send a jet of napalm like flame into dugouts, pillboxes and strongholds, the Crocodile laid fearsome waste to any defensive positions. So much so that it was not uncommon for Crocodile crews to be shot by the enemy if captured rather than sent back to POW cages. Whilst serving within the 79th Armoured Division, Crocodiles supported all British and Canadian units from Normandy to the heart of Germany. The US even requested some to assit on their assault on the fortified stronghold at Brest on the Brittany peninsula.

This is a superb kit which is the ideal buy for the wargammer or the modeller.
