AGARWOOD KANGI

This is grade A Agarwood from Indonesia.

Agarwood occurs in the trunk and roots of the Aquilaria tree when it becomes infected by a fungus. The infected part of the tree is scraped away and one can either benefit from burning the wood chippings or oil is extracted from the infected wood and the most expensive perfume in the world is made called OUD.

There are many countries in the east that have these trees and many that produce the Oud oil. It is a complex distallation proccess and there are many types and grades and qualities.

Some grades of agarwood chippings can cost hundreds if not thousands of pounds.

This is a very good quality agarwood in a small chipform. Agarwood Kangi, is dry with good oil content and you only need to place small peaces onto hot charcoal.The smell is amazingly sophisticated,earthy,woody and yet somew what balsamic and warm. It is uplifting and calming on the mind and used extensively in the east for spiritual religous practices especially in the Islamic world and Hindu and Buddhist traditions.

The smell spreads through out the whole of your home and lingers for many hours and indeed can be smelt even days later.

I would highly recommend using agarwood chips at time of meditation and generally when one wants to sit in a moment of peace and tranquility and leave the world outside
