that sells for GBP £300
to GBP £11,000
( except that you SHOULD get better bass from
)
( a WELL DESIGNED (that need not be insanely
expensive) big cabinet.)
(So, if our competitor cabinet is 3 times our
size,)
(the 6 inch drive unit should produce deeper
bass,)
(but with a huge loss in power handling,)
(because the SMALL 6 inch drive units have to
move a lot)
(to produce DEEP bass,)
(and the 'typical' 6 inch drive unit can only
move forward and backward by 3 millimetres,)
(before distorting badly.)

maybe 7 feet or 8 feet.

1. EASILY EASILY BLATANTLY OBVIOUS sounds much better than British
famous brand GBP £11,000 speakers reviewed in hifi News in 2007 issue,
for human voices, cymbals, midrange and treble.
However, the British famous brand GBP £11,000 speakers is in a
BIG CABINET,
and should produce better deeper bass
than our smallish compact cabinet.
2. Beat (or match) any GBP £300 to GBP £11,000 speakers
with one or two pieces of six inch speakers
+ one inch tweeter
for human voices, cymbals, midrange and treble.
FOR THE SIZE OF OUR SMALLISH COMPACT CABINET,
the bass is good.
Of course, any half decent speaker designer
should be able to
produce better bass with 2 pieces of six inch
speakers in a BIG CABINET.
If you must have superb bass + human voices,
cymbals, midrange and treble,
our eBay listing for our affordable valve
Company ' ultra high end' speakers with
two pieces of 8 inch woofers + five inch midrange

AFFORDABLE VALVE COMPANY BEAUTY IS MORE THAN SKIN DEEP
The most important part of a loudspeakers is
one. The knowledge of the designers
the COMBINED knowledge of the Chinese designer (living in China) and
Lim Aik Leong (living in England) is probably the best in the world.
This sounds arrogant until I explained that ..........
the famous British brand GBP £11,000 loudspeakers shows that
the treble from 8000 hertz to 20,000 hertz is about three decibel more
than the midrange.
Most loudspeakers designers will agree that this is a terrible result,
and it will make the loudspeakers sound a bit irritating and a bit
bright, which might produce 'good imaging/exaggerated imaging.
Two. Almost all the sound comes from the six inch speakers.
(Who cares about diamond dome tweeters, which only produce the SMALL
FRACTION of the sound,)
(if the six inch speaker, which produce MOST of the sound, is not perfect.)
Our six inch speaker is' ultra high end' an is amongst the Best six
inch speakers in the world.
This sounds unbelievable until I explained that ..........
eight. The knowledge and experience of the person who designed
the six inch paper + ' modified' with wool (I think)
is priceless.
Unfortunately, I cannot prove this easily,
either than to say that
the final frequency response of the MODIFIED IN ENGLAND LIM AIK LEONG
VERSION has a superbly flat frequency response,
MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH BETTER THAN THE FAMOUS BRITISH BRAND GBP £11,000
POUNDS SPEAKERS
The subjective listening test also prove that the six inch paper: +'
modified' with wool (I think)
sounds superb superb superb, and even better than the measurements.
(Sometimes, some loudspeakers were flat frequency response sound good,
but not super superb super.)
(Frequency response is only part of the story. You need to consider
waterfall curves, overloading of tweeters, midrange or woofer, please ignore
the schoolboy fantasy that loudspeakers can handle 10 watts without overloading
!)
Be. Ignoring the designer's knowledge, which is priceless and
you cannot put a value on knowledge,
the most expensive part of the loudspeakers in pounds and pence
(or dollars and cents)
are the magnets.
Please look at the HUGE HUGE HUGE EXPENSIVE MAGNET in the photograph
of the six inch speakers,
and comparing with the MUCH SMALLER MAGNETS of most of our competitors
Loudspeakers
Please look at the HUGE HUGE HUGE EXPENSIVE MAGNET in the photograph
of the six inch speakers,
and comparing with the magnet of the famous British company's GBP £11,000
loudspeakers on page ..... in hifi News ....... issue.
c. In order to make the loudspeakers as rigid is possible,
the metal frame is made from EXPENSIVE CAST
METAL.
The designer of the six inch drive unit must have decided to build and'
ultra high end'
drive unit with huge expensive magnets + expensive cast metal frame
to bring the best out of his superb six inch paper +' modified with
wool (I think) cone.
Many manufacturers try to save money by making
the metal frame out of 'stamped' sheet metal.
d. There is a whole drilled through the back of the magnet,
to allow the pressure
-------------------------------------------------------
Tweeter
This must be the strangest one inch dome tweeter I have seen.
However, when I think about it,
the designer of the one inch dome tweeter is brilliant,
and I am surprised that
other designers have not copied his tweeter (maybe the design is protected
by a worldwide patents)
When the tweeter makes a sound,
you will get a sound from the FRONT of the dome.
You will also get a sound from the REAR of the dome.
If you do not do something,
the sound from the REAR of the dome,
would hit the magnet,
and be reflected towards the dome,
and EASILY pass through the dome,
to the listeners ears.
The listeners will hear
the sound from the FRONT of the dome (which is good)
and, a fraction of a second later,
the sound from the REAR of the dome (which is bad)
----------------------------------------
The tweeter in the famous British brand GBP £11,000 speakers,
let the sound from the REAR of the dome
pass through a tube (which might be filled with sound absorbent).
That is a good solution to the problem
of the sound from the REAR of the dome,
but
I am not paying GBP £11,000 for a tube struck to the back of
a tweeter !
