Newcastle's friendliest Independent record store brings you a a covers album that is actually good. Part of the secret to a good covers album is covering interesting artists with talent. Of course that is not always enough, which is why it is so good that Adem has talent in spades. His old band, Fridge, gained a fantastic reputation and great reviews all round, and his solo career has garnered the same praise. Sometimes people say that a covers album shows a creative block, but the glorious reinventions here could not have been made by anyone lacking in the creativity department.
