The Series 900 AM/FM Stereo Tuner is a professional unit with a built in timer. It is housed in a 19" and 1U high case - very compact - and can either stand alone or be fitted into a rack with the supplied ears. It has a digital readout although it is an analogue radio and has eight presets for AM and FM channels. The tuner can be run off a mains 240V supply or a 12V DC supply. The unit is very modern in appearance and finished in satin black. The front panel has a stereo jack socket for connection of headphones, LED readout of station frequency, preset and tuning buttons and an on/off switch. The rear has an IEC mains socket, 12V DC input terminals, phono sockets for connection to an amplifier, ariel connections for AM and FM as well as an output level control to allow matching to most amplifiers or mixers. The tuner is very sensitive and can pick up stations in stereo with a simple dipole ariel - a simple piece of wire seems to be enough to provide a strong signal for hiss free FM stereo. Included with the tuner is an AM loop ariel which provides a strong signal to enable the tuner to pick up very distant stations. The radio comes boxed in its original carton and packing with loop ariel and user manual. The tuner covers the range 87.5 - 108 Mhz in 50 Khz steps (FM) and 522 - 1611 Khz in 9 Khz steps (AM). The tuner is very easy to use, very sensitive and convenient to use with having preset stations. Te radio sounds clear and natural. The unit is in excellent unmarked condition and would work well as part of a home hifi system or for professional use. The optional use of rack ears makes it possible to be housed in a rack or as a freestanding tuner.
