This activated carbon is the highest grade available. It has a small granular size, so is best used in a media bag or put into a stocking. Rinse under the tap to remove any dust. You can then put it into most filters. It is highly effective in absorbing ammonia & other toxins from aquarium water. 

Within a short period of time, it absorbs all poisonous substances from the aquarium water; the pH value keeps neutral.

Ideal for new setups and tanks with heavy fish loads, or filters which have just been cleaned. It allows the biological filters to develop more rapidly in a newly set up aquarium.Replace carbon every 6 week to keep your aquarium in top condition

 When using any medications the carbon should be removed from the filter, replace after treatment to absorb any medications from aquarium
