Description
Acorn BBC Model B computer with 32K RAM, Acorn DFS, Wordwise Plus ROM, and a double-sided 40/80 track switchable 5.25" disk drive.  Tested with some of the games below.  Computer and disk drive have been well looked after, stored indoors, casing in good condition (a couple of sticker marks on the computer), keyboard fully working.  No previous owners - computer was purchased from new for home use in 1985 - original invoice provided.

Everything you need for some retro gaming, excluding a TV.  Selling as I'm moving and no longer have room.

  • Acorn BBC B computer
  • 5.25" Cumana disk drive
  • Wordwise Plus word processing ROM and manual
  • BBC User Guide
  • BBC Welcome booklet and cassette tape
  • "First Steps With Your BBC Micro - A Beginner's Guide to Simple Programming" book - a nicely-illustrated, fun introduction to the BBC B
  • Video output cable (to plug into the aerial socket of your TV)
  • Original invoice (23rd April 1985) - computer was purchased brand new for home use,
  • Games on 5.25" disks:  Repton 1, 2, 3, Repton Around the World, The Life of Repton, Camelot, Spycat, Steve Davis Snooker, Quest, Mr Wiz, Winter Olympiad 88, Killer Gorilla 1, 2, Commando, Palace of Magic, Quest, Tutankhamun's Revenge, Kix, Deathstar, Space Pilot, Missile Strike, Battle Tank, Crazy Painter, Overdrive.  I can't guarantee these all work, but have tested a few of them with no problem.
  • 8 blank 5.25" floppy disks

NOT included but may be of interest:
  • Over 20 cassette tapes of BBC B games - I am selling these separately as a job lot on eBay 
  • Monitor:  Microvitec Cub (model no. 1431 MS) and cable for BBC B - faulty, has frame collapse problem discussed here: http://www.webmasterworld.com/webmaster_hardware/3584237.htm  May just be a case of resoldering a dry joint.  If you want to pick this up from me, it's free - contact me.  These monitors provide an excellent picture for the BBC B, and are sold on eBay in working condition.
  • Tape player:  Acorn Data Recorder cassette tape player and cable for BBC B - again faulty (although mechanism works in "manual" mode).  Again, free to anyone who wants to pick it up - contact me.
  • Printer:  Panasonic KX-P1081 dot matrix printer + manual, works with BBC B.  I do not know whether this is working.  Again, free to anyone who wants to collect.

Update on postage in response to questions:  you can book your own courier collection (and not pay the £15 postage). I have decent packaging ready - good box, polystyrene and bubblewrap.  Collection in person is also possible to arrange - item is located 10 minutes drive from M4 junctions 10 and 11 (Reading East/Central).  Unfortunately I cannot ship outside UK.
