This is an Acorn MIDI standard-width podule (expansion card), model number AKA16, part number 0276,280 issue 1. It provides one IN port, one THRU port and two OUT ports. I believe it should work on

  • Archimedes A540
  • Acorn R140 or R260
  • A3000 (fitted externally - you'd want an AKA12 for fitting internally in an A3000)
  • A5000
  • Risc PC
  • A7000(+)
  • Iyonix PC (requires 32-bit drivers from ESP, not included)
Also included is the 72-page Acorn MIDI User Guide (part number 0480,354 issue 1, covers the AKA12, AKA15 and AKA16), an "Acorn MIDI Implementation Chart" (0480,353 issue 2), the release note (0480,350 issue 1) for the MIDI 3.14 firmware (included on the podule in ROM form) and expansion card installation instructions for Archimedes-style cases (0476,201 issue 3).
