Acer TravelMate 240 Notebook 2.8 ghz p4 512 cache

This is a Acer Travelmate 240  but been upgraded  from a celeron cpu to a full p4 2.8  512cache 400 fsb cpu and also memory upgraded from 256mb to 2x 256 mb.

My daughter bought this a couple of years ago and already had these upgrades on it.

It comes with windows xp home installed but do not have install disks,the recovery cd can be easy got for under a fiver it has the coa sticker underneth and overall is a clean laptop a couple of light marks on lid.

The display is good and the 2.8 p4 makes a big difference its fast as to a 2.5 celeron cpu.

4 usbs, Fast Ethernet, modem and Infrared port and printer port,vga output and mic and headphone sockets on rear.

I had to buy a new power supply july this year for it,the battery does not keep its charge for too long i.e when charged it will last 40 mins to 90 mins aproxx but after use and it stands the battery will loose charge.

It comes internet ready with a linsky compact wireless- g usb adapter

I have intalled all the drivers if needed on the d drive.

It has one problem  -  the dvd is faulty it works the light flashes but does not read disks 

and one of the card bus covers is missing (this does not affect laptop from working)

The laptop comes with power supply and usb wireless adapter.
