Model Kit

Brand new, sealed and unbuilt.

Fantastic kit of the British Hurricane which is very well moulded and fits together without any troubles.

The Hurricane was designed by Hawker Aircraft Ltd as an interceptor, fighter-bomber and ground support aircraft and was produced between 1937 and 1944. Some were also converted to Sea Hurricanes and others could be launched by catapult from convoy escorts.

The Hurricane was instrumental in winning the Battle Of Britain in 1940. While the Spitfire gets all the glory, Hurricanes accounted for the majority of RAF air victories. In addition to the Battle of Britain, Hurricanes served on all major British battles including the Battle of France, North Africa and the defence of Malta. Hurricanes were also supplied to the Russians providing convoy support as well as escorting Russian bombers and more were sent to the Far East to Singapore.

Around 14,000 were built in total with the IIC featuring a larger propeller and wing mounted 20mm Hispano cannons. The new wing design also allowed for a 500lb or 250lb bomb load and later in 1941 additional fuel tanks.

  • Fully engraved panel lines and rivet detail
  • Highly detailed cockpit interior and wheel wells
  • Optional position canopy and landing gear doors.
