"QUEENSLAND"

By: John Bartholomew.

Publication date:  1888

Description: A wonderful, detailed and attractive small coloured map from 1888. A really fascinating map showing clearly the wonderful Australian state of Queensland as it was towards the end of the 1800s. Including Brisbane, and the Great Barrier Reef etc. This is an original map, published over 120 years ago! This is not only a fascinating historical reference, showing how the area has changed over the years, it is also a beautiful work of art.

This map would look fantastic framed either individually or in a group.

Provenance: Handy Reference Atlas of the World by John Bartholomew (FRGS etc), published by John Walker and Co, London 

Size: Map measures: c. 19.5cm x 16cm / 8" x 6.25"

Condition: Good - some slight age related marks around the edge of the page, these do not impact on the map.
Being over 2-pages these is a natural fold across the centre of the page.
