AUSTRALIA GOES TO WAR 1939-1945 H/B 1984

"Australia Goes to War 1939 - 1945" by John Robertson is a concise account of Australia's contribution to the winning of the Second World War.

This excellent book looks at Australia's war policy and strategy as well as the men who directed Australia's role in the war and those who fought it.  Amongst other campaigns it covers the doomed expedition to Greece, North Africa, Malaya, New Guinea and the threat of Japanese invasion in 1942.  The role of Australian airmen in the Royal Air Force is also covered, as is the vital role played by the Royal Australian Air Force and the Royal Australian Navy.

Hardback, approx 11x8.5" with 220 pages illustrated throughout with over 200 black and white photos, many published here for the first time.

There are some small tears to the dust jacket (most noticeably top left) and some small marks here and there but overall it is in very good condition, clean and tidy throughout.

This was first published in Australia in 1981 as "Australia at War"; this revised, updated version under the new title was published in 1984 by Doubleday in Australia.
