AUSTIN A70&A90 ATLANTIC COUPE/CABRIO '48- SERVICE CHART

You are viewing an original 1950’s Esso Lubrication Service Guide for the Austin A70 (Hampshire & Hereford) & A90 (Atlantic) Saloon, Estate, Pick-Up, Coupe & Convertible models produced between 1948 & 1954.

The chart measures 384 x 285mm (15.125” x 11”) and is printed in the Esso corporate red & blue colours on thick high-quality card.

It depicts a plan view of the vehicle and clearly identifies all those Engine, Gearbox, Transmission, Suspension, Steering & Braking Components etc that require periodic lubrication.

In each case the type of lubricant to be used is specified and also the lubrication interval, in thousands of miles.

Additional notes give advice on maintenance of the Shock Absorbers, Air Cleaner, Oil Filter and Distributor plus the recommended amount of Anti-Freeze required for Winter Protection.

Finally, the capacities of the Crankcase, Gearbox, Rear Axle, Cooling System & Petrol Tank are also quoted using imperial measures (UK Gallons & Pints).

The chart has had some use (see photo) but remains in Good Overall Condition.
