The new Aut-X range of brake pads are sourced exclusively from a leading Aftermarket and Original Equipment manufacturer. Vast research & development resources and state of the art technology, combined with continuous improvements to processes and materials, ensures that the Aut-X brake pad programme delivers the highest level of product quality.
The manufacturing facilities are ISO9001 / ISO14001 registered, meaning that the Aut-X range of brake pads provide consistent quality. Extensive testing takes place, including all of the following, to guarantee the life and performance of all Aut-X brake pads.
Density tests for measurement of life, and noise performance.
Shear strength tests (ISO6312) to ensure adequate adhesion of friction to plate).
Dynamometer tests & schedules (AK Master, Krauss and Chase industry standards) to ensure consistent friction level in hot and cold conditions, friction wear, disc wear, noise performance and fade performance.
Compressibility tests for measurement of pedal travel
Aut-X brake pads are either ECE Regulation 90 or KBA (TUV) approved. ECE R90 requires that all replacement pads fitted to vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes (gross vehicle weight) registered after 1 September 1999 (“V” registration) must have been tested and approved by independent authorities. This approval number will be printed where required on both the Aut-X product and its packaging. In addition the packaging contains an anti tamper seal as required also by the legislation.
