Year 2 Primary Maths Assessments for the Mathematics Renewed Framework (Brand New)

This is a top quality maths assessment system for children in Year 2. The professionally produced tests have been written by 2 practising primary heads who have a very strong maths background. The tests, which have been designed to support the Renewed Primary Maths Framework, follow on from our highly acclaimed and successful assessments for the original Numeracy Framework. Using the tests  

We have designed a test for each unit within the five blocks i.e. 15 tests per year group. In Year 2, there are 12 questions in each test - 8 written and 4 oral. The written tests, which should be done before the oral tests, can be completed as a whole class, in groups or individually. The oral tests should be carried out on a one to one or small group basis, as appropriate. Any necessary equipment is indicated at the beginning of each test.

The assessments have been designed with maximum flexibility regarding when they should be carried out. The tests will fit any curriculum design or format and are completely flexible. The notes which accompany the tests are concise and clearly explain the administration and usage of the assessments.

We have also developed a guide to levelling to complement the testing system. Each child can be given a level when a test or tests have been completed; a simple conversion table is provided to facilitate this. This is vital in order to effectively assess and track children's progress.

There is also an objectives grid and an attachable set of objectives for each test. After plotting the children's results onto the grid, it then becomes clear which objectives need further reinforcement and where any gaps in learning may have occured. The grid can be used to analyse the learning of individual children, specific groups or the whole class.
