Τίποτα όμως δεν προμηνούσε το θόρυβο που θα προκαλούσε ο ΑΡΤΕΜΗΣ ΦΑΟΥΛ: τιμήθηκε με τα βραβεία Children's Book of the Year και Virgin Books Newcomer of the Year, ενώ ετοιμάζεται να μεταφερθεί στη μεγάλη οθόνη. Τα βιβλία του Κόλφερ έχουν ξεπεράσει σε πωλήσεις τα 1,6 εκατομμύρια αντίτυπα μόνο στην Αγγλία.
