ART NOUVEAU/ARTS AND CRAFTS GLASS BOTTLE

Description:

A beautifully stylish clear glass 'Art Nouveau' or 'Arts & Crafts' style bottle/flask/vase(?) with splayed bottom. I am not at all sure what it was designed to be used for, but the inside of the neck is not ground - which suggests to me that it never had a glass stopper. I have a feeling that it might have been intended as a dressing table bottle - but I can't be sure. The base of the glass has been ground flat. In my opinion this is a vintage piece, and I would think that it dates from somewhere around 1900.

Condition / Defects:

Very good condition; scratches on the base consistant with its age.

Dimensions:

Height approx: 5” (127mm).
