1930'S HAND PAINTED TRIO
EXCELLENT CONDITION
This is a gorgeous 1930's art deco hand painted cup, saucer & plate that are in excellent condition. They have a white background and are decorated with very pretty hand painted flowers in white and pale yellow. These are framed by green leaves with silver stems, etc. The cup has a slightly rippled effect to the bottom half. It is footed and finished with fine gold trims - on the wavy brim, on the base and on the handle.
This is a very pretty and stunning set.
Anchor China was at one time managed by Samson Brdgwood and the backstamp bares these details.
The cup is 3" (7.5 cms) deep and measures just over 3" (8 cms) in diameter (not including the handle).
The saucer measures 5.6" (14 cms) in diameter.
The plate measures 7" (18 cms) wide.
The base of each item bears the makers stamp.
They are all in excellent condition - no chips, cracks, scratches or wear. The colours are still clear and vibrant and the gold trims show no signs of wear.
