DESCRIPTION

ART DECO HAND CARVED BEGGING TERRIER WITH BEADED EYES

TYPE

Has he just got a normal patina on him built up over the years or has he been varnished?  Looks very much artisan crafted -

This little wooden dog is a breed of terrier.

He is beautifully carved and rather angular in shape.

His eyes are little white beads which have been pinned in and the pin heads act as part of the eye.

MADE FROM

Hand carved by someone they have taken this piece of wood and decided to carve this lovely terrier. It is a  piece of wood where there are 2 different colours in the wood. You can see in the photo his hind feet are paler than the front ones.

There is no patina to this lovely item.  It had been neglected and not dusted for decades.  I have brushed all the dust off and given the wood a feed of beeswax polish and he is looking grand again. 

(This lovely item came to me in an Auction Lot from a House clearance)

I gave him a really good clean and have fed the wood  with beeswax
