ARISTO-CRAFT  1/24th SCALE DELTON CLASSIC   WOOD STYLE COAL HOPPER (Colorado & Southern) Catalogue No. ART 81402

The Model   This superb Wood Style Coal Hopper (No. ART81402) is one of the most highly detailed G Scale model Railroad Freight Cars available and is manufactured to a very high standard by Aristo-craft Trains  in their 1/24th Scale Delton Classics Range. This reproduction of a USA Narrow Gauge prototype is finished in the brown livery of the Colorado & Southern Railroad with crisp white graphics (please see accompanying photograph). The Freight Car is brand new and has never been used. It comes boxed in manufacturer’s original yellow carton. This interesting model has operating AAR knuckle couplers (LGB style hook couplers are also provided for easy conversion if required) and has a wealth of exterior detail including freight car trucks/ wheelsets with individual springs; simulated wood grain interior hopper flooring and body side/end; full underframe details: three dimensional grab rails on ends and sides; brass brake wheel post and clear, crisp, realistic painting and authentic detailing.                  Length approx. 12 7/8th inches (327mm)   Prototype The Aristo-Craft Delton Classics Coal Hopper is based upon a freight railcar of the late 1850's/1860's era originally used by the Quincy & Torch Lake Railroad in Michigan. Actual prototypes examples of this type car are no longer in daily use by any North American Railroads since wooden railcars have not been allowed in interchange service for many years. Restored examples of a similar type coal hopper are on display (1995) at the Pennsylvania State Railroad Museum in Strasburg, PA.           Fully compatible with LGB, Bachmann and USA G Scale Trains. 3. PERSONAL CHEQUE ? Cheques are welcome but please allow at least 5 working days for your cheque to clear. Remember to write the details of the won auction on the back including your name, address and the item description together with Auction item number. Please make cheque payable to John Prescott.

4. DIRECT BANK TRANSFER ? Payment by electronic means is convenient and preferable so if you are able to make such payments let me know and I will advise you of the relevant account details.

5. OVERSEAS - For bidders from outside the UK I can only accept Paypal in Pounds Sterling only.

6. SHIPPING - Most items can be shipped worldwide. Please email me first to check on shipping costs if outside the UK and if they have not been included in the item description. . All items that are shipped outside the UK will normally be insured and the cost included in the P & P amount quoted. Overseas bidders should also contact me (johnprescott@talk21.com) if you require special insurance.

7. POSTAGE - It is our aim to despatch all items within 48 hours of the payment having being received and cleared. (Please be aware that cheques may sometimes take over 5 working days to clear). PLEASE ALLOW 7 WORKING DAYS TO RECEIVE YOUR ITEMS as mail often takes longer than the published Royal Mail targets. All items are shipped Second Class in the UK to save the buyer postal charges unless otherwise stated. It may be necessary to use the Standard Parcels service for heavier items. Royal Mail aim to deliver by the third working day after posting. PLEASE ADD £1.04 FOR RECORDED ?SIGNED FOR? DELIVERY IF REQUIRED. If you do require earlier delivery please e-mail me and I will advise additional cost for either First Class postage (target delivery the next working day) or Special Delivery (normally >24 hours). If you do not receive your item within 14 working days after sending payment, please contact me as soon as possible.

8. RETURNS POLICY ? As is customary for Auction Sales items are sold ?as is?. If items are not to your complete satisfaction, please contact me within 48 hours of receipt detailing the reasons why and what you would like to happen to resolve the situation. Items that are returned within 7 days, at the cost of the buyer, in the same condition that they were sent will receive a full refund excluding the postage & packaging, Paypal fees and a 10% restocking charge. I will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit but will provide a copy of ?Proof of Posting? to support claims for compensation up to a maximum of £34 in value. For more valuable items it is strongly recommended that you request ?Special Delivery?or "other Courier" service which more or less guarantees delivery the next working day and provides compensation for loss or damage up to £500 and £1000 respectively.
