The 2020 has manual controls which include a humidistat that make it particularly suitable in areas where controlling the relative humidity is important, such as, where artefacts are being stored. It has a large tank and will therefore not need emptying too often and can be fitted with a hose for continuous drainage.
Dehumidifiers remove moisture from the atmosphere, reducing condensation and in turn preventing damp, mould and mildew caused by our everyday activities such as washing and drying clothes, having a bath and cooking.
By keeping your home warm, insulation and double glazing actually helps trap unwanted moisture.
