Priestly and Weale, London, 1825. Two large (45cm) folio volumes of four. Bound in uniform contemporary half tan calf on paper-covered boards. All boards detached and bindings heavily scuffed with wear and loss to the leather of the corners and joints. Backstrips heavily damaged although pageblocks themselves remain solid. Foxing, sometimes extensive to the plates. The front free endpaper of Volume III is loose and the following blank missing the lower quarter of the page. The title page of Volume III is missing a strip along the lower margin measuring approximately 3x15cm with some tearing and loss to the lower corner together with a 15cm diagonal closed tear close to the printers name. Vol.III : title, 3-128 pages, 54 plates, 1 page errata, (1); Vol.IV : title, 5-11, (3),  frontispiece, title, 10 pages, 10 plates, title, 2-30 pages, 7 plates, title, 3-56, (1), 27 plates, title, 3-5, (1), 5 plates, title, 3-9, 5 plates. Collates complete although list calls for 26 and not 27 plates in the third section of Volume IV whilst mention in the text is made of 27 plates. Plates 8  & 9 of this Donaldson section are misbound to the beginning of the section. We can send images of these volumes on request. Due to the weight of these books a postal surcharge may apply.
