COLOR / PATTERN: Blue Milk Glass

MEASUREMENTS: 4 3/4 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide at the base and 2 5/8 inches wide at the rim

MARKS OR LOGOS: It is marked on the bottom with the stylized mold number 2. I understand it is the style that Westmoreland Specialty Company used prior to becoming Westmoreland Glass Company.

CONDITION: This Stein is in excellent condition for its age. It has some rim nicks and a flake or two, but nothing distracting.

DESCRIPTION: Each of the three framed scenes are surrounded with a lattice-covered arch with a rope or chain type trim around the circumference of the top and bottom. The handle is beaded on both sides. One scene shows three Dwarves or Elves marching in single file. While two are carrying steins; the one in the middle has a keg on his back. The caption below is in German, and it reads, (translates to) "A Cool Drink/A Verdant Forest". The second scene shows the two elves playing a card game, with a drinking onlooker. The caption below reads, "May Much Good Come To You”. The third scene shows three elves bowling. The caption below reads, "A Mirthful Game/ Makes Glad Both Young and Old". This Mug is very hard to find in blue Milk Glass.
