Welcome!
Our History
We are a small family business that renovates reclaimed pieces of furniture, stoves and antiques to sell at very LOW prices. Originally from Cornwall, now having recently opened a second workshop, we now have a branch in Ottery St Mary, Devon and one in Darlington, County Durham.
What We Do
We source pieces from Cornwall to Scotland and in our workshop, we bring them back to life. This includes sanding, waxing, oiling and painting. Most of the renovation work is done by hand, as we believe this adds a more-noticable 'rustic' character and charm to the finish piece.
The wax we use includes Fiddes Beeswax, the oil is pure Danish Oil and the paint we use is Farrow & Ball's Oil Eggshell which is done by hand, not sprayed. This paint provides a very durable surface for the home, as this can be wiped clean and will in time, give a beautiful 'shabby chic' look with daily wear and tear.
The combination of the above factors, combine to bring old, forgotten pieces back from the past and we can then offer them a fresh lease of life with their new owner.
We can also offer a bespoke design service. Your own choice of paint, particular piece sourced or given and also maybe a certain design that you would like - please feel free to ask and we can send you photos of previous bespoke pieces and information.

This is a simply stunning set. One of which I rarely see out and about on my antique hunts. Recently sourced from a lovely little cottage in St Ives, Cornwall.
The table is solid English oak, with a remarkable extending feature that moves the 2x central sections up from the middle and into place. The chairs are also in the same league, as they are highly comfortable and genuine leather hide. The set comprises of 4 chairs and 1 carver. What a find!
The approx. measurements are:
Length - 120cm/198
Height - 75cm
Depth - 107cm
Finish
We class the finish of this piece as: Light Distress.
How we class the finish of our pieces:
Light Distress - a mild lightly worn look, with a delicate touch of age about it.
Mid Distress - a noticable worn look, little nicks out of the surface or edges and some heavy wear through useage.
Heavy Distress - a very rustic aged look, with some corners or dents missing or damaged. Uneven surfaces and heavy wear and tear very noticable.
With the various distress descriptions above, we do feel that once we finish a piece, the above factors normally add to their natural 'Rustic Charm' character, but if you are unsure about the condition and whats right for you, then please feel free to contact us.
