ANTIQUE US 22K GOLD 1 2½ DOLLAR COINS PIN 1853 1878   

An antique American pin; beautifully made from two solid 22 carat gold 1853 US dollar coins flanking a solid 22 carat gold 1878 US 2½ dollar coin, with high carat gold fittings.

A distinctive, wonderfully collectable coin pin!

CONDITION: All original and very, very good. Slight signs of wear, coins bear manufacturing marks from pin construction. Please expand the pics for detail.

DEFECTS: None.

DATE/MARKS: Coins dated 1853 and 1878, constructed around 1880.

DIMENSIONS: 39 x 18 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.

WEIGHT: Approx. 8.2 grams.
