ANTIQUE TEA POT BRITANNIA METAL FANCY DESIGN VICTORIAN Nice antique teapot, most likely dating back to Victorian times. It is made from Britannia metal and was possible once covered with silver plate. This has long since gone, but nonetheless this is a nice decorative pot. It stands approx. 8½” tall. It has a hinged lid with a moulded leaf design on the top. There is a pattern etched on the sides of the pot, which looks a little like a pomegranate. There is a hole in the rim of the lid, but I believe this is for letting out the steam and is part of the original design. It has the odd minor dent, but nothing drastic. It is otherwise in excellent condition with no holes or splits in the metal work. A nice antique teapot that would make a handsome addition to any collection. Well worth bidding on. Please note: this is a large and weighty item and this is therefore reflected in the postage cost. Postage quoted is for the UK. If you would like it sent elsewhere, please ask for a price. Please also be aware that, at the time of listing, there is an ongoing postal dispute. I will let you know when your item has been dispatched, but there may be some delay in delivery times. |
