This is a fantastic Leopard head by VAN-INGEN & VAN-INGEN complete with original silver date plaque reading
" shot in BALAGHAT 1929 "
Superb ebonised shield with original care label and stamp on the rear.
Van-ingen or mysore are famous worldwide as being one of if not the best taxidermist in the world
there work is second to none and the client list includes Indian nobility, royalty and also the highest ranking British offices
As with all Van-ingens work the facial espression is superb, with all original whiskers, and teeth

 As this head is dated 1929 it does not require any paperwork from cities or defra to be sold in the E.U.

It was not taken from the wild illegally as it was perfectly legal to hunt leopards without a licence until 1969
