ANTIQUE STYLE ROSEWOOD TAPE STORAGE INLAID SHELVES
This is one of those unusual items that it is difficult to find anything out about, and of which you have never sold before or seen before, so have nothing to compare it with. However, it is a very well made and attractive piece, and I would think it was probably for storing tapes, when nobody had heard of CD's, and therefore an extremely useful item indeed. I know lots of people still have tapes, so it can still be used for this purpose of course, but as for what else you could store in the little shelves, of which there are 72, well that I'm not sure. It is made out of rosewood and is a tapering shape which narrows towards the top. The framework is inlaid with brass floral decoration, some of the inlay being in the form of tiny hearts. It is in very good condition and measures 24.25in (62cm) wide x 17.5in (44cm) high x 5.5in (14cm) deep at the bottom and 3in (7cm) deep at the top.

At Frockabilia / EurobiliaUK.Antiques we have one simple aim; to sell good quality antique pieces at competitive prices. .
We are located near Hampstead Heath in Central London; we sell small to medium sized pieces of period furniture and collectables, mostly items that we consider to be useful in the home as well as decorative. We hope that if we love them, then so will you. They range from the Georgian, Regency, Victorian, Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, Edwardian and Art Deco periods. .
Most of our items are Antiques and minor blemishes are normal due to age (Some items are over 100 years old, so perfection is impossible). All auction descriptions are honest, accurate, detailed and have many pictures, if the item has a flaw we try to show a picture so you will know exactly what you are bidding on. But please remember that there is normal wear and tear, and it is not always possible to show that. We take a great deal of trouble over transporting our items, whether they are large or small. The large pieces of furniture, which go by road, are carefully handled by expert delivery drivers and the smaller pieces are packed very carefully, with lots of packing materials - the more fragile they are, the more packing and care they receive.
