I have on offer a Rare Torpedo Shape Bottle that was used around the mid 1800'sfor soda or mineral waters.
The Hamilton Bottle
The Hamilton bottle was the bottle used in the early days. Although we all recognise the torpedo shaped bottle as the Hamilton bottle, it was his method of producing the aerated mineral water which he in fact patented - not the bottle
These bottles with the pointed base were designed to ensure that the bottle was not left standing upright, the philosophy behind the pointed bottom was to ensure that the bottle was left on its side so that the wired down cork would not dry out and shrink allowing the contents to lose carbonation and or evaporate
The bottle does not have any marking on it
The bottle has the normal signs of wear one expects of a used item over 120 years old e.g. scratches, dinks, stains etc, this would make an excellent addition to your collection, these Torpedo Shape Bottles or Hamiltons as they are sometimes known are extremely difficult to find these days.
This is your chance to add one of these scarce bottles to your collection.
I have a number of other items listed and am happy to combine P&P where possible for buyers who purchase 2 or more items
