THIS IS AN INTERESTING AND I WOULD THINK RARE PAIR OF LARGE ANTIQUE FRAMED PICTURES, DEPICTING HUNTING / HARE COURSING SCENES IN THE ENGLISH COUNTRYSIDE WITH MOUNTED HORSES AND RIDERS, GREYHOUNDS AND HARE RUNNING THROUGH THE LANDSCAPE.

THEY LOOK LIKE PRINTS, ALTHOUGH I AM NOT SURE, AND I DO KNOW THAT ONE OF THEM IS INSCRIBED "COURSING PLATE 3RD". THEY EACH MEASURE A TOTAL OF 23.25 INCHES BY 20 INCHES INCLUDING THE FRAMES. COUPLE OF PIECES OF GESSO TYPE GILDING ABSENT FROM AROUND THE FRAMES, WHICH ONE WOULD EXPECT WITH AGE, THE PRINTS SEEM TO BE IN OVERALL GOOD ORDER FOR THEIR AGE.

AN INTERESTING PAIR OF ANTIQUE PICTURE PRINTS THAT WOULD LOOK MARVELLOUS IN A SUITABLE SETTING. PLEASE CLICK ON THE PHOTOS FOR A LARGER VIEW.
