MDINA SIGNED COLOURED ART GLASS ASHTRAY / BOWL/c1960s
This is a fantastic piece of coloured Mdina glass, which could either be a bowl or an ashtray, as it has wavy edges along the top, so you could balance ciggies in there quite easily. It is a gorgeous deep green colour with milky vaseline glass interspersed along the top, and underneath that it has long marbled coils of thick, stripy glass, bit like seaside rock which swirl around the top half, and the bottom part is mostly clear with a delicate criss-crossing of golden coloured strands that look like treacle threads! It is very heavy and in perfect condition and signed on the base, Mdina. I think this is an early piece.
Measures approx. 6.5ins (17cm) diameter and stands 3ins (8cm) high.

The large pieces of furniture, which go by road, are carefully handled by expert delivery drivers and the smaller pieces are packed very carefully, with lots of packing materials - the more fragile they are, the more packing and care they receive.
