Antique Tribal & Village Rugs from Persia and the East

Description: I am pleased to offer this fine antique salt bag by the Kurds of north west Persia. The bag has a piled face and plain striped flat woven back, the main body of the bag depicts linked floral designs surrounding a panel that could be interpreted to contain a tree of life. The neck of the bag has a panel containing a floral design.

Condition: The bag is in almost mint condition with full pile, all side bindings are original and the flat woven back is in perfect condition. The bag has been professionally hand washed and is ready for display.

Age: Late 19th Century

Size: 20 inches x 15 inches.
