We are offering this delightful antique pin cushion that dates to the years of WWI, as it includes patriotic symbols and flags. We have been reliably informed that these cushions were made by soldiers whose hands and/or fingers had been injured during the Great War, as a form of therapy. The pins are displayed in decorative manner on blue and white cotton, affixing the Union Jack flags and flags of the Allies and, in the centre, there is the logo for the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment - "one of the proudest names among British Army Regiments". Despite some marking to the surface, the whole is in very good order. Please see our photographs for more details of the decoration and condition. This is a lovely example of its type.
