For Sale:  A wood burning stove from Godin cast around 1880's - 1920's sold in ' as found ' condition. This is a stove from a previous era unlike the more sophisticated stoves of the 1920's onward. With a permanent small air intake shown in photo 9, which is supplemented by opening the ash can door if more draw is required. The stove is finished in a superior heat proof paint, the finish is excellent. The original cast poker is also included.

With very fine casting and delicate detail this stove is the epitome of an antique 'pot bellied' stove. It is also with only a couple of minor flaws in remarkable condition.

The hot plate disc is missing from under the lid, a new disc can easily be machined. There is a very very fine crack in the central body of the stove see photo 11, from experience it will not leak although with modern materials it would be possible to make a fast seal if required.

Due to these two factors we have listed the stove as for decoration or use, with a 99p start and no reserve both options are attractive. Please note: if you wish to use the stove it is a basic stove with all that entails, with simple controls etc. 

We can supply a flue pipe adapter for this stove.

This stove sale is part of a much larger relocation sale which continues all this week with the first of a batch of stoves listed here on eBay. We are having to re-locate to another building within the Rayleigh complex where we hold our UK stock...  the more stoves and other stove related parts we can sell before the move the fewer we have to move!! Please remember that all our vintage and antique stoves are at least 50 years old with some more than 100 years old and should be viewed as such. Some have pitting, chips and even cracks, many may have sat in barns for the last 40 years, but it is a testament to the original manufacturers and the subsequent care taken with them that they survive today.
