ANTIQUE FRENCH SILVER PASTE GIARDINETTO PIN c1800's A terrific antique French, solid sterling silver pin; beautifully made and very finely pierced giardinetto ('little garden') pin, set with marcasites and coloured pastes.
High quality, distinctive and beautiful - both wearable and very collectable!
CONDITION: All original and very good. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age and use, one paste missing - easily replaced.
DATE/MARKS: 19th century. Silver control marks to c-clip. Also marked '2' to the back.
DIMENSIONS: 24 x 23 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
WEIGHT: Approx. 4.3 grams.
