DESCRIPTION

VERY NICE QUALITY RENAISSANCE STYLE DOUBLE WALNUT BEDSTEAD, CIRCA 1900. IT IS A SUPER SOLID STURDY BEDSTEAD WHICH WILL LAST A LIFETIME!

THIS VERY ATTRACTIVE BED IS IN WALNUT WITH ITS SUPERB CARVED SUNBURST CREST. THE HEADBOARD STANDS 53" HIGH, WITH ITS SOLID WALNUT TURNED FINIALS TO EACH SIDE AND REEDED COLUMNS.

THE BASEBOARD STANDS 36" HIGH AND HAS THE MATCHING TURNED FINIALS AND REEDED COLUMNS TO EITHER SIDE.  THE BED DOES HAVE THE ORIGINAL WOODEN SIDE RAILS AND STANDS ON CARVED BUN FEET.

THIS BEDSTEAD WILL ENHANCE ANY HOME, OLD OR NEW. BEING IN GOOD CONDITION THROUGHOUT, READY FOR USE.  AS WITH ALL ANTIQUE ITEMS THE BEDSTEAD DOES HAVE ITS AGE BLEMISHES. THERE ARE A FEW SMALL PIECES OF BEADING MISSING, BUT THIS IS NOT DEROGATORY. HAVING HAD MANY YEARS AGO A SMALL AMOUNT OF WOODWORM? WHICH HAS LONG GONE, BUT IS TREATED ANYWAY AS PART OF OUR POLICY.

THIS BEDSTEAD WILL TAKE A STANDARD 4FT 6" DOUBLE MATTRESS, BUT DOES REQUIRE A BASE, YOU CAN EASILY FIX WOODEN SLATS OR WE CAN SUPPLY A SLATTED  BASE AS REQUIRED, PLEASE SEE MY OTHER ITEMS.

We endeavour to describe all our furniture as honestly as possible, but please bear in mind most of our furniture is over 100 years old, so have blemishes, this is perfectly normal for antique piece of furniture.
